My Journey

I began my career in education, working with students, parents, educators, schools, non-profits, foundations, and local & state leaders, building avenues for meaningful student-parent involvement in our schools and communities. I completed my master’s degree in Education from the University of Denver in 2004, and my certification in Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym) in 2010. I utilize movement-based education (Edu-K) to help children and adults improve their focus, motivation, and academic & physical skills. I have also worked with small and large groups using intentional movement to create dynamic and productive strategic planning sessions, focus groups, and collaborations.

In 2004,  I traveled to Thailand to study Thai Massage with Master Pichet Boonthume. Pichet inspired me to begin a meditation practice, which led to a deep connection to Tibetan Buddhism and bodywork. I completed my massage certification at Denver Integrated Massage School in 2011.

I began studying with Mark Manton in 2014, learning new skill sets such as Joint Play & Range of Motion, TCM Acupressure & Meridian Dredging, and a Myofascial Ten Series. After taking Mark’s advanced course twice, I became a teaching assistant in 2020.  I have never had a more challenging and completely satisfying course as MTIC’s Year 2 program.  It was always such a joy to be in such a supportive and thoughtful learning community of students, teaching assistants, and Mark, every class was a gift.

I’ve also been studying Kinetic Chain Balancing, Functional Movement Massage with Jay Kratz for over 5 years, and recently became an online Meta MVMT instructor. I have been so fortunate to have studied with such incredible teachers. They have had such a profound influence on me as a bodyworker and human being, and I am extremely grateful for their presence on this planet.

In 2011, I began practicing at Alternative Chiropractic Center, helping countless clients through a number of wide-ranging issues including; sciatica, headaches, shoulder pain, joint misalignment, balance challenges, post-surgery recovery, possible viral & bacterial infections, preparing for job interviews, overcoming fears, focus & attention, and improving memory.  I am sincerely grateful for my time at ACC.  Dr. Elliott Smith, a master at functional nutrition and chiropractic adjustments, created an amazing family culture, with co-workers and clients alike. Eva Stanly Dipl.ac., an equally incredible healer, also believed in my potential as a healer and is a mentor and friend. It was a true honor to be welcomed into this unique practice, and I deeply appreciate the great memories, relationships and learning that transpired during my time at ACC.
